Time Capsules – City of San Jose – San Jose, CA

Located on the former campus of Camden High School, the series of artwork in the new Camden Community Center honors and celebrates the people and history of the Camden area. Art students at San Jose State University collaborated to create the seven pieces, several of which required structural design of their supports. The School Desks are cast metal desks embedded in reinforced concrete footings in the outside courtyard. The Pool Bubbles capture images of past pool activity in glass “bubbles” protruding through a wall of built-up plywood panels. Completed in 2007.
